And We Lose Another Coffee Shop

It's not like there aren't a ton of options but still sad.

Sept. 12, 2026

I mostly stopped going as I've changed my M-W-F workout regime. I planned on stopping by on Saturdays but that's not going to happen now. The "Rogers Park Taproom & Coffeehouse" is permanently close...

Car Wreck

I'm actually hoping they can't fix it.

Aug. 2, 2026

It wasn't even that windy Friday but a massive tree fell on my car and crushed it. I'm kind of hoping that it's totaled. I don't want them to sort of fix a thousand things and then have a thousand t...

Cräptop!

It's better than I expected, and as good as I needed.

July 11, 2026

So I got my new craptop from eBay and it's pretty damned good. It's another instance where Claude helped me out. I gave Claude my requirements and it delivered a make and model that fulfilled those...

June 2, 2026

Things are starting to happen in the neighborhood. Paga Nini is sort of open - right now they have a sign up saying they only serve coffee but they will at some point be offering Korean style snacks....

3D Is Here!

Who woulda thunkit.

April 1, 2026

I already have arguably the best television for 3D movie viewing that can be had, a nice 55" passive 3D Panasonic, but now I have an additional option for watching my 3D movies. I bought a Quest 2 ...

Keyboard Shake Up

Following the Great Winnowing.

March 31, 2026

Alright, there's been a keyboard shake up at the Donnoplex. I had 60% keyboards mostly, as that's what I'm used to from using macbook airs and stuff. But, given that my new workload is going to con...
