Monarch!

One of the new coffee shops has opened! Monarch Community Cafe at 7010 N. Clark Street! The coffee coffee is a little bland, smells nice though. I’ll probably be back next week for a fancy drink.

It really does feel like a community space. Lots of tables, a children’s play area. Big bright windows. Not exceptionally cold. It’s just a few doors south of Honeybear so I can see them picking up business from there.

What will probably keep me coming back is the late hours. As of now, they’re going to be open from 6am to 8pm. This will help alleviate the feeling I get at 4pm where I tell myself I’m either getting outside today or not getting outside today. Nowadays I’m in bed around 9pm anyways.
