Car Wreck

It wasn't even that windy Friday but a massive tree fell on my car and crushed it. I'm kind of hoping that it's totaled. I don't want them to sort of fix a thousand things and then have a thousand things go wrong with it later. I did a little car shopping and found a smaller car with low miles.

I really don't drive that much. It took a while but I've adapted to Chicago's public transportation system for lots of stuff, and I have everything I need within easy walking or biking distance. Getting to Karl's for game night isn't a problem by bike but this week Brian's out of town and Ernest would need a ride, a ride I could not provide!

In any case, the wrecked car has been a big hit with the neighbors. Everybody stops and takes photos. I'm hoping that Geico responds quickly. I haven't been in many accidents so I can't really say whether they're a good insurer or not. No hurry really.
